Eeeek!

Okey so I poted about it a few days or so ago, but I’m going to the beach with some friends on May 25th for a few days!

I just realized that this is only 25 days away and I really need to shape up! I’m not a huge fan of my side-profile/ tummy situation and definitley have to work on that. SOOOO for the next few weeks, I’m going to focus on a few key things!

  1. Drinking water throughout the day! I always say I’m going to do this, but I always forget. I’ve told my mom and friends to keep me accountable, though, and I remembered a water bottle for school today… so thats good :)
  2. Cutting down on after-dinner/ dessert snacking. You guys know this is my weak area, haha.
  3. Cardio 6x/ week
  4. Avoiding icky food. And by this I mean not mindlessly eating candy I don’t really like, not eating a cookie simply because it’s there, and treating myself with home-made things rather than boxed or pre-made goodies.
  5. Actually using my Jergins natural glow lotion stuff. I doubt it does anything at all (I used it for a few weeks last year but then forgot) but I’m basically a ghost and can use any little bit of tan possible.

I haven’t updated my goals in a while

Here are some things I have to work on!

  1. Going to bed earlier- No need for me to stay up so late on weeknights!
  2. Carrying a water bottle around with me during the day- I usually have some water at breakfast, then none all day at school… it’s bad! I need to be hydrated for track!
  3. Be able to do an unassisted pull-up- I did one once! I haven’t been able to since… I’m working on it!
  4. Squat 140, bench 100 lb- Currently my PRs are 125 for the squat and 85 for the bench.
  5. Work on my deadlift form- It sucks, to say the least. I definitley have to get my form down before I start adding weight.

Ahh okay you guys have convinced me

I’m giving up meat from tomorrow until April 5th!

It’s true that SO MANY things have added sugar and it’d be super hard to find things to eat (especially when I’m not at my own house).  Finding healthy alternatives to meat is much more realistic. Thanks, y’all :)


General 2012 goals

I’m not a big “new years resolutions” person, but I figured I could think of some guidelines that could help me in this year. It’s nothing too specific, but here are some things I have been working on and want to continue to work on:

  1. Drinking less alcohol. Sure, I’ll drink on special occasions, but it’s really not good for my body and I never feel great the day after (aka, now haha). From now on I want to keep it to like, once a month. Also, once I get my license I’ll be DD!
  2. More water! I rarely ever have it throughout the day at school, so I have to get into the hang of bringing a water bottle around with me.
  3. Run at least 700 miles in 2012!
  4. Stretch every single night, no exceptions.

They’re all very attainable! Hope you guys have a good year :D


December Goals!

These are in addition to my weekly goals, and I’ll look back at the end of the month to see how I did!

Anyway… Dear self:

  1. Stretch every night before bed! It helps relax you, and you could definitely use the extra flexibility.
  2. Keep your grades up! Don’t feel behind on math, especially, no matter how much of an asshole your teacher is.
  3. Holiday time! Enjoy time with family, but don’t let a couple days get you out of routine.
  4. Help out around the house as much as possible. Your parents are super-stressed because dad just got surgery and his company is on the verge of shutting down. Your mom and dad are busy looking for jobs, so do everything you can to lessen the burden!
  5. Don’t take things for granted. Cherish what you have and spread da’ love.
  6. Do something good for the community.

Alright, so they’re not really all health-related, but they’re definitely good-person and healthy-mind related, so they’ll do.

Weekly goals!

Okay, so I’ve been being a little shit these days with my lack of control. Anyway, I think I need to set some goals in place! I don’t have time to go over goals every day, so I’m setting some up that I’ll do at the end of each week (every Sunday I’ll look over my daily logs for each day).

  1. No more than 4 treats/junk per week (chips, anything fried, sweets, ect.)
  2. Eat more at lunch than snacks after school (this is a pretty big problem lol)
  3. Work out 6 days each week for at least 1 hour

Okay so I’ll try to keep this up for 4 weeks and see how it goes!


Short-term eating goal

I usually set goals that span over a long time, but tody I’m setting a short one!

This saturday, I’m going out with my friends to the city for a 17th birthday celebration. We’re going to some cool kareoke room place and basically getting wasted/ eating/ singing/ having fun. Which is always a good time, but I don’t want to go too crazy! I’m going to have not too much to drink, and keep it healthy!

My goal, though, refers more to the next couple days. 

Why? Well we’re all dressing up (which required a tight dress) and I don’t want to be bloated! Sure, my goal may sound vain, but it’s necessary. Completley necessry.

Anyway, tomorrow will be a day of NO MESSING UP. It has to be a 12 pointer in this goal thingy. 

I’m going to do my best to keep my eating clean and have tons of water!

I’ll probably do some possible outfit choices tomorrow/ saturday. Wish me luck!


September Goals!

So I know this month is going to be hectic. I want to make my goals not only about fitness, but about my work and time management in general too.

I think I’m gonna try to rate each day with a point system leading to a point-based reward. So at the end of each day, I’ll add up how many “points” I got. These “rules” will come into play once school starts on the 6th!

Things that earn me points (on weekdays):

  • Eat a balanced breakfast- Sometimes I’m in a rush and I only have time to grab a fruit or granola bar… but that wont cut it! (1 pt)
  • Don’t buy a cookie or any other snacks at lunch- Seriously the cookies are amazing and a total vice for me (1 pt)
  • Bring a snack for before soccer- Often I’m playing on an empty stomach which isn’t good to start with, but then also makes me eat tons when I get home (1 pt)
  • Work out for at least 1 hour- Usually accomplished with soccer, but on days that I don’t have it, I have to work out! (2 pt)
  • Have a small snack after soccer, but then none until dinner- I always eat too close to dinnertime! (1 pt)
  • Keep a daily food log- Helps keep me on track! (1 pt)
  • No tumblr until ALL homework is finished- Probably the most difficult of them all for me! (2 pt)
  • No facebook until ALL homework finished unless it’s necessary- Like to get info on a project or assignment, ect (1 pt)
  • Fill my plate with mostly veggies at dinner- I’m usually pretty good with this (1 pt)
  • No “bad” dessert- I’ll try to stick to only eating a fruit or something along those lines (1 pt)

I can total 12 points a day, and I have 17 school days in september, so I can earn a total of 204 points.

Rewards:

185-204 points: Matching VS bra and thong

155- 185 points: These boots

130-155 points: 2 new nail polish colors

100-130 points: 1 new nail polish color

0-100 points: Nothing, you suck (lol)


END OF SUMMER GOAL

I have exactly one month left of summer! My school starts september 9th (I think. I’m always sort of out of it about these things). Anyway, I want to give 100% effort in this last months, and I really want to reach my goal body before the end of summer! I would love to walk into school and have people notice that I actually look different.

I’ve set up a reward system for myself, and it is as follows:

  • I will either track calories or just make a food log every day for the next 31 days. I must do WELL. 
  • I will allow myself 1 “cheat” item every week (like a slice of cake, ice cream, ect.) but other than that, it must be healthy.
  • I must workout at least 200 minutes per week (average of 28.57 min per day). This comes out to be 800 minutes TOTAL, which is also 13 hours and 20 minutes.
  • I must log my exercise.
  • I will post my intake and output every day on tumblr, except for the week where I’m on vacation in Rhode Island without internet.

If, and ONLY if, I fulfill all of these requirements, and have 28-31 100% good days, I will buy myself THESE shorts, in either navy or black.

If I have between 24-27 good days, I will buy myself THIS nail polish, in palm springs.

If I have 0-23 “good” days, I will buy myself nothing. 

This starts today, wish me luck! I will rate my day at the bottom of each Intake & Output post :)
