Tomorrow I’m going out to lunch for my friends birthday to an “asian fusion” place which apparently has great sushi, then on saturday I’m going to the city to one the bestest noodle/ thai restaurants EVER and I’m so excited.

Open bag of Reeses Pieces in my kitchen
Thanks, brother. He got them for the school trip to Washington DC (he’s leaving tomorrow) but he’s not allowed to bring anything with peanuts so now they’re just chillen within 5 feet of me.
AND GOD DAMN THEY ARE TEMPTING.
BUT I am challenging my willpower not to have ANY because last time I had “pieces”, I ate like 2 or 3 servings worth. Once I start with that kinda thing, I just cannot stop.
Anyway yeah. Shit.
“Hi liv, would you say that you eat over or under 2,000 calories a day on average? (if you could give a good guess how many calories a day do you think you'd say you eat?)”
—AnonymousHey :) It probably varies day to day, but I would guess that I eat at least 2,000. I probably have around 2000 or 2100 net.
Maybe I’ll count calories one day to give y’all a better estimate soon!
“you should get a boyfriend!”
—AnonymousOoooh good idea, I’ll go pick one up tomorrow!!
Jokes, brah.
No thanks :)
“hi liv, i've been eating about 70g of protein the past few days and even though my calories have been lower due to the protein making me feel super full up, i have been feeling really sick and bloated. I used to eat about 50-60g so i don't know why this is happening:p”
—AnonymousHeeey! So it’s hard to know what’s actually making you bloat, and I’ve never heard of more protein causing bloat (although it’s entirely possible that for your body, that might be the case.) anyway it’s likely that the other foods you’re eating are causing the bloat, especially if you’re consuming lots of veggies/fiber! There’s also a ton of other factors that play into bloating like stress, periods, excess sodium, not enough water, etc. I wouldn’t worry about it, but if it’s causing you pain I’d ask your doctor!
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help… If anyone knows, lemme know :)
Currently feeling overworked and under-rested. Is that a word?
Anyway I just finished a very stressful US paper and now I’m going to try to relax because I have my english AP tomorrow morning. Kinda dreading that. It’s not even that I’m nervous… I just don’t WANT to write 3 essays in a row, haha.
I’m relaxing now with some tea, but I already don’t feel very well because I ate a lot of grapes and now my stomach hurts.
Oh and I’m getting the strangest craving for tofu pad thai.
“what hot sauce do you recommend?”
—AnonymousI’m no expert but I like green hot sauce more than any of the red types. I use green pepper Tabasco sauce :D
Inbox cleanout
I have a bunch of anon messages, and many of them are repetitive so I’ll just answer a bunch on here :)
- How do I grow my sprouts? My grandma got me a sprouting kit for my christmas and it’s a very simple product that has three trays with ridges and a system of drains. I just pour 1/4 cup of water in the top one and it trickles down and collects in the bottom, then I pour it out. I do it once a day (although I often forget heh heh). Anyway I’ve researched it and it looks very simple to do even without a sprouter! There are a ton of online resources and videos, but this website gives a good overview of what to do :)
- Where do I buy my clothes and workout gear? I’m really boring with clothing and wear similar outfits almost every day, haha. I get my jeans from F21 (only certain cuts fit me… it’s very rare) and some from AE. I get a majority of my sweaters from H&M, then I also shop at just random stores. Oh and I wear my black vans almost every single day. I also like American Apparel, Old Navy, asos.com (check it out), urban outfitters… and some random boutiques in the city. I also go to goodwill sometimes and get stuff! As for workout clothes, I usually wear Nike running shorts or spandex, or sometimes leggings. Most of my sports bras are from Old Navy… they have really good workout gear and it’s much cheaper than other brands! Then I just wear either tshirts that I usually cut or random colored tank tops (they’re like $3 at F21).
- Your brother is cute. Not a question but LOL I’m sure he’d appreciate that :P
- How long did it take you to _______? People have asked me how long it took me to lose weight, “get abs”, build my endurance, etc. I never really know what to answer because it’s an ongoing process! I’m still working to be ever stronger, faster, better… there’s no definite point at which I’m like “wow, cool! Guess I’m done losing fat!”. Every day I work to improve myself mentally and physically :) However, I wouldn’t expect huge visual changes too quickly! Give your body time and it will yield results, promise.
- Is _______ bad for you? I can’t answer these. It has to do with how you balance out everything you eat. For example, bread. I’ve gotten at least 5 messages asking if bread is “bad”, but what does “bad” even mean? There’s bread that has more or less nutritional value than others. Also, it depends on how much of it you eat. Is it “bad” to eat ONLY bread, all day long? I wouldn’t advise it.
- Where do I get my food? Most of what I eat comes from a regular old grocery store. I also go to Trader Joes sometimes, which I love, and occasionally whole Foods! Also, I sometimes go (though it’s rare) to a health food store. Thats where I buy fun things like arctic zero :P Oh and my mom also buys a lot of produce and eggs from local farmers markets on the weekends! She also grows a LOT of her own vegetables. In the next few months, a vast majority of the veggies I eat will be grown either in my back yard or in my moms plot at the community garden :)
Oh and for some other questions such as “what is a canary melon”… GOOGLE, BEBE!

yes-butno:
There are other reasons for going to the gym/working out!
It’s been a good night!
Lots of good eats and I JUST WROTE AN ESSAY IN RECORD TIME.
AND IT’S NOT EVEN DUE UNTIL THURSDAY!!1!11!!
Except wednesday I have my english AP (meh) and it’s also my friends bday so we’re all going out to lunch after the test :) And I think I’m going to bake her something but haven’t decided what yet! Maybe vegan banana bread.
Fo’ real… last time I made that stuff my brother and I finished the loaf that same day (not my proudest moment but hay it was kind of sort of healthy not really)
